About NOVA’s Inception
Founded in 2020 by Tiffany C. Shelton, NOVA Definitive began as an idea first imagined years earlier while she was completing her Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science at SUNY Canton, where she graduated in 2009. Throughout her educational and professional journey, Tiffany faced numerous challenges, yet her determination to serve grieving families and build a meaningful career in the death care profession never wavered. Guided by compassion, professionalism, and resilience, she remained committed to elevating the standards of care within the industry.
From these early inspirations, Tiffany recognized a critical need in the death care industry: practitioners deserved a reliable, one-stop resource that offered essential tools, innovative products, and educational support tailored to their unique responsibilities. This vision ultimately took shape in 2020 with the launch of NOVA Definitive.
Driven by a strong work ethic and passion for innovation, Tiffany has grown NOVA Definitive into a trusted online provider serving clients across the United States. She is proud to support funeral professionals—especially during some of the most challenging times in recent history—and continues to seek new ways to strengthen and advance the death care community.
